VESTED

December 3, 2015~ STYLE

Today I’m a bit nostalgic. The wet, cold, extremely windy weather has me yearning for the way too short fall season. I was able to pull this vest out and finally wear it. I’ve had this in my closet for almost a year. I definitely need more of these in my life!

SEEING RED…

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! ‘Tis the season for holiday parties, eating all the sweet things you can take and drinking warm drinks til you tingle inside. Haha!

I received this dress quite some time ago from Eshakti, a site that will make a dress, skirt, pant or item your choice to custom fit you. I don’t wear red often but I really love this dress. It’s not very tight, has pockets and is work appropriate.

A DAY IN THE PARK

I love this blue blazer I purchased at Zara. It’s taken me some time to figure out how I want to wear it since I bought it way too big but now I just belt it and it looks impeccable. It’s been a few weeks but I’m back and ready for the holidays. For me vibrant colors are a must this fall. What are you wearing?

SWEATERED IN LEATHER

November 9, 2015~ STYLE

IMG_4157   While on a blogger’s vacay for the last few weeks, I rocked an oversized H&M Sweater and Topshop Leather pants on the sandy cold beach. I love the mix of the two very different textures. What are your favorite texture pairings?

GILT CITY CHICAGO PRESENTS THE GILT CITY FALL 2015 WAREHOUSE SALE

October 14, 2015~ STYLE

GILT2 base7_2015
Do you know what you’re doing this weekend? I do! I’ll be at the Gilt City Warehouse Sale this Friday #RaidTheWarehouse! I missed it last year and promised myself I wouldn’t miss it this year!!!! This Friday & Saturday, Gilt City Chicago members are invited to experience the brand’s legendary Warehouse Sale featuring hundreds of the most coveted brands for women, men, and kids, plus home décor and more- all up to 80% off retail. Shop brands such as Lanvin, Chloe, Valentino, Balenciaga and Dior to Brian Atwood, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and more. For the guys, think Tom Ford, Paul Smith, John Varvatos and GANT, and for home, expect Missoni Home, Samsonite, Tumi and Jonathan Adler Home, to name a few.

Come peruse everything from shoes to jewelry and suits, outwear, denim and so much more with me! There will be beverages and snacks provided by Justin’s, Balance Water and Argo Tea, in addition to Cities in Dust, a local jewelry brand that will be offering 20% off their collection.

Tickets are still available so get yours now!!!! Prices vary according to date and time of session, which allow for two hours of shopping. Friday’s late night session from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm still has tickets available for $20. Saturday, October 17th all sessions are $10. Full ticket details are here.  Come join me at the Museum of Contemporary Art Ware house located on Hubbard for  shopping fun. Feel free to ask me anything because I love shopping for others LOL!!!

Prepare for the Gilt City Chicago Warehouse Sale by reviewing the following tips and advice to having the best possible experience:

§  Arrive Early: If you’re serious and trust me these deals are serious arrive early!

§ Bring Minimal “Stuff”: Coat check and large bag check are required so bring a small purse or wallet that can hold your credit cards and ID. This is a credit card only event so no cash is accepted for purchases. I recommend a small wallet or cross-body bag that will leave your hands free to peruse the racks and sip cocktails! Don’t wear too much either because it’ll be a hassle to try things on!

§  Think Ahead: I always shop for future seasons. There are literally so many things in my closet with tags waiting for Spring. Keep that in mind when you see something you can’t wear at the moment but know you’ll wear in the next season(s). §  And Again Remember – Plastic! No cash, so make sure to bring your debit or credit cards!

You ever purchase something on a whim and feel so happy that you did? For me, this entire outfit is that. This silk blouse and Urban Outfitter skirt are two of my favorite purchases. I’ve had this blouse for some time but the skirt was a recent last minute, “this is cute and I love stripes” purchase. I love it because it’s sexy yet almost modest. “How could this be?” you ask. It’s past my knees, covering yet flaunting my curves. This year, I want to enter fall boldly wrapped in chic patterns, colors and confidence.
