At Home Facial Journey

Masque-Nificient

Summer/Warmer weather in Chicago FINALLY has arrived and every year I battle with my skin. This year I’ve come across several amazing products that have changed the game for me. They have undoubtedly changed my life. My Clarisonic and all my other daily essentials found in this post are awesome sometimes you need a deeper clean. Spending $80 or more a week on professional facials can get pricey so I’v found these above work for me. Beginning from the left to the right I’ll walk you through my at home facial journey…

1. Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfar Maque

The first time I ever heard about this mask was from Morgan Stewart of the very much hated reality show Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. For months I couldn’t figure out what the hell she had on her face while filming. Several weeks ago she revealed this on her blog, Boobs & Loubs. Now of course I couldn’t find it anywhere because it’s no longer called a cooling mask. They’ve now changed it to the Therapeutic Sulfar Mask. Thank GOD for the sweet girl in Sephora who figured it out for me while I was in New York. At first I tried to use it every couple of days but that was sooooooooooooo unnecessary. So now I use it every week and I see a huge difference in my skin. My skin feels and looks smoother. I also don’t have as many breakouts. Since this is an anti acne masque I would be very careful when using it with other medicines. I use mine with other medicines from my doctor but haven’t had any problems thus far.

2. Peter Thomas Roth FirmX Peeling Gel
After using one of his products and experiencing so much success I wanted to try another one. While on vacation a few weeks ago, my friend introduced me to this Peeling Gel. This is less of a mask and more of a scrub but I had to include it. IT PEELS OFF DEAD SKIN! I love that! You actually see immediate results while using. I fell in love with this product immediately. I personally wouldn’t do this everyday but maybe twice a month since I already do the anti acne mask and use my Clarisonic twice a week. Don’t want to over do it.

3. Freeman’s Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask
I tried this about a week ago. I randomly walk around Wal-Mart and find these packets by Freeman’s and try them all the time. I loved this one because it’s unique, it’s a scrub and a mask that exfoliates and purifies. It was also an Allure award winning mask in 2013. Definitely a winner in my book.

4. Freeman’s Cucumber Peel-Off Mask
I’ve been using this mask for at least 2 years. It’s clear than peels off to reveal a clear subtle shine. I love that it makes me shine. As a chocolate girl that’s my favorite thing. To look like a piece of milk chocolate is beautiful! HAHA!

I only do the freeman masks when I want to do a little something extra. If I feel my skin needs a boost I’ll do an extra mask or replace my weekly mask with something special. Another thing I love is Vitamin C based products. I’ve found it makes me shine. If you have never, I highly recommend you get a real facial. It’s the best. A little microderm, black and/or white head extraction and vitamin c application is awesome. Thanks for reading!

Sorry for the lack of posts the last 2 weeks. I’ve been going through some major changes. Good ones. I’ll be sharing soon!
