I started 2016 off at Fremont Chicago. Fremont is a new restaurant downtown replacing American Junkie. A very close food blogger friend mentioned me in an Instagram photo late last year when it opened and I was intrigued. Long story short I ended up having the best New Year’s Eve I’ve ever had at Fremont. It was so good I have no photos to show. What I do remember is amazing Old Fashions, delicious cuts of beef cooked perfectly, moist lamb pops, amazing sliders and way too much champagne. The New Years Eve party exceeded my expectations. I assumed there would be lite bites not an amazing array of food all night long! The place had amazing people, food, drinks and overall an epic atmosphere. So I was happily shocked when a friend asked me to go to the Fremont media party last week!
I walked up to the second floor to be accosted by a drink named “The Instagraham” which I had to take because I’m me. There were chicken waffles, sliders and other delicious goodies circulating the room. There was a piece of art that I will NEVER forget: The Mule Bar. My eyes lit up like the kid from Matilda who was presented with the first piece of chocolate cake. Had an amazing Wednesday here.
