Disclaimer: I’m not a food blogger I just eat a lot. Oh and also, one of my good friends is a food blogger so I spend about one day a week eating at a fabulous restaurants. Little over a week ago I had an amazing brunch downtown at Osteria La Madia. Walking into Osteria La Madia, there is a beautiful fully stocked bar with a glass wine cellar that is impeccable. Once seated in the back near the open kitchen and fabulous pizza oven, I was treated to amazing Firecake donut holes and a make your own Mimosa/Bloody Mary/ Bellini bar. The chef sent out an amazing salad that I couldn’t stop eating (pictured above). I’m obsessed with kale and fruit in salads. Healthy, creative and delicious. Accompanying this salad was the house yogurt with seasonal fruit and prosciutto & squash. Quite a delicious grouping.
After the delicious preamble came a breakfast pizza with fingerling potato and egg yolk (pictured above), and Fried Egg Bruschetta (pictured below). Chef Jonathan Fox explained each dish but my taste buds weren’t ready. I’m not a “breakfast pizza” kinda of girl but this was utterly delicious. I enjoyed the pizzas and the bruschetta. Overall Osteria la Madia is a homerun! Great food that’s farm to table and amazing ambiance with a great selection of wine and cocktails. Next week, March 15th Osteria la Madia is featuring a Chef’s Table that includes a 5-course prix-fixe dinner with wine pairings for $65. Sign up now to taste the Spring dishes and have the meal of a lifetime.
