Be Kind To Yourself
To walk into a gratitude mindset I’ve had to become kinder to myself. I’ve learned to stop beating myself up for decisions I’ve made that failed. I’ve had to learn how to forgive myself for the mistakes I’ve made. There have been so many times I didn’t trust myself. Each time I regretted it because I made a poor decision. It’s taken me 31 years to learn that those were lessons in trusting myself. Every moment is a chance to do better than before.
We’re not perfect human beings. We’re always making mistakes, learning and growing. Be patient with yourself and look at the ways you’ve evolved. Be kind to yourself because you aren’t who you use to be. This is the first step in changing your mindset and beginning a gratitude practice.

Meditate 3x A Week
Meditating is so tranquil. It’s also not the easiest thing to do. After my morning workouts, I spend 10 minutes meditating in the sauna. I’m a huge fan of the Calm App especially the Winnie The Pooh series. A few minutes of introspection has improved my day on many occasions.
Meditation can be difficult. It’s a practice that requires patience and discipline. You may find your mind wandering off often. Push through. The reward is spectacular. It is soothing, calming and very introspective.
Every moment is a chance to do better than before.
Gratitude List
Each night, I list 3 things I’m grateful for from that day. Some days are harder than others. Some days I’m grateful I made it work on time. Other days I’m grateful I’ve seen growth in my blog or YouTube channel. Every day I’m grateful for this moment because my journey has brought me this far and I’ve only begun.
This gratitude list is a great way to jog your memory of the good, great and amazing things that happen in a day. In the world today it’s easy to get sucked into negativity. It’s even easier to forget all the good that surrounds us each day. From someone holding the elevator to promotions, good is happening every where. Take a moment and live in gratitude.
